Aristotle and Thomas Hobbes were both influential philosophers, but they had different views on human nature and politics. Aristotle believed in the natural sociality of humans and the importance of community and virtue in achieving a good life. He also believed in the existence of a natural order and purpose in the world. On the other hand, Thomas Hobbes had a more pessimistic view of human nature, arguing that humans are inherently self-interested and competitive, and that without a strong central authority, life would be "nasty, brutish, and short." Hobbes also believed in the need for a social contract to establish a sovereign power to maintain order and prevent chaos. **

Thomas Aquinas' contingency proof is based on the idea that everything in the world is contingent, meaning it relies on something else for its existence. Therefore, there must be a necessary being, or God, that is the ultimate cause of all contingent beings. Aquinas' cosmological proof, on the other hand, argues that everything in the world is in motion or change, and there must be a first mover, or God, that initiated this motion. Both proofs aim to demonstrate the existence of God through logical reasoning and observation of the natural world. **

Thomas Hobbes and David Hume were both influential philosophers, but they had different views on human nature and the role of government. Hobbes believed that humans were inherently selfish and needed a strong central authority to prevent chaos, while Hume argued that humans were driven by sentiment and moral emotions. Additionally, Hobbes focused on the social contract theory to justify political authority, while Hume emphasized the importance of empirical observation and skepticism in understanding human behavior. Overall, while both philosophers explored the nature of human behavior and society, they approached these topics from different perspectives and reached distinct conclusions. **
